Call for submissions ‘CAMPFYRE’

Nightmare Fuel will be opening for micro fiction and poetry submissions to our next digital collection, CAMPFYRE from 1 – 15 September.

When the flames are dancing, the shadows flickering, and the darkness just within reach – a good, scary campfire story will have you huddling a little closer to your flashlight.

What we’re looking for

Whether it’s a fresh take on an urban legend or folklore, or an original story that gets the reader shrinking into their sleeping bag – we invite you to make this theme your own. We value quality writing over writing to the theme, so whether it is directly related to the theme or not, please send us your best.

We’re looking for stories and poetry up to 666 words in length, to be published on our website. You can make one submission per category.

Submissions will be considered from Australian residents (or citizens currently living overseas) only.
